A Gamejam Yule Never Forget Write-up Saturday, December 15 2018

(A quick note that photos in this post are mine unless explicity credited to other owners, if you have a pic you want to share, let us know)

❤️ Huge thanks to everyone who helped and participated in our end of the year GameCraft.

❤️ Shout out to our sponsors, DIT and Unity3D.

❤️ A special thanks to Bryan Duggan for helping us sort out hosting with DIT and Kal who is the student ambassador liason with Unity3D for sorting out the Unity Plus prizes. To Thomas Shaw who personally contributed The C64 Mini as a prize, and to Robin O’Keefe who dropped over his Moveable Type games as prizes personally on the day.

The morning was clear, cold and even had a rainbow to welcome us:

Ohh and what a bumper set of prizes we had on the day:

I (Vicky) didn’t take many pictures during the jam, but I have pics of when the games are being played after the jam ended.

Here is proof that Robin dropped in with his games as prizes:

The theme is /drumroll:

It was more appropriate for last year as we were all nice and warm this year in the church. 🔥

Here’s a pic at the start of the jam as people were busy figuring out what to make with the theme.

Don’t forget to upload games to itchio

Special announcement from 1GAM Galway

Special announcement from GameCraft Foundation

We announced on the day that we are fundraising with a target of €1000.00 for 2019, the main expense is our accountant’s fee, and any left over will go towards our future game jam expense.

If you can contribute €10, that would be super awesome, and there’s an option for you to donate other amounts either as a once-off, monthly or yearly.

First step is to head over to https://opencollective.com/gamecraft-foundation-clg, you’ll see who has donated so far, and how much we have raised. Thanks to those who have dropped in a few bob so far. ❤️🌈
